New Dell Full HD 24-incher Has 92% of NTSC Colors

Dell has launched their 2407WFP-HC, a 1,920 x 1,200 24-inch monitor that covers 92% of the NTSC color gamut, which is excellent news for photographers and video editors. What else is in? 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 450cd/m2 brightness and 6ms response time, plus 9-in-2 flash card readers and all kinds of connectors, even Y/C and Composite, but sadly no HDMI. However, the best thing is the price tag.

While in Japan, where it just launched, it costs $870, here you will be able to grab it for just $660. Hopefully sooner than later.

Solopipe Self-Igniting Bowl Lets the Good Times Roll

No more fumbling around for a lighter with the brand new Solopipe, the self-lighting pipe that lets you put your weed in its bowl, slide the lid over it, and then you have your own personal mobile smoking station right there in your pocket. Open up the lid on that bowl, pull the lighter’s trigger, and it automatically fires up that fine smoking mixture you’ve packed inside.

Too bad there’s not a stash compartment inside that lets you inject just the right amount of smoking substance into that bowl. Maybe that’ll be one of the features of version 2.0. Anyway, just keep this baby filled up with gas and weed, and you’re good to go. The bad news? You’d better smoke the schwag for a while, because this little trinket will set you back $80.

New Driving Fines for 2007
1. Carpool lane – 1st time $1068.50 starting7/1/07 (The $271 posted on the highway is old). Don’t do it again because 2nd time is going to be double. 3rd time triples, and 4th time license suspended.
2. Incorrect lane change – $380. Don’t cross the lane on solid lines or intersections.
3. Block intersection – $485
4. Driving on the shoulder – $450
5. Cell phone use in the construction zone. – Double fine as of
07/01/07.
**Cell phone use must be “hands free” while driving.**
6. Passengers over 18 not in their seatbelts – both passengers and drivers get tickets.
7. Speeders can only drive 3 miles above the limit.
8. DUI = JAIL (Stays on your driving record for 10 years!)

Ticket is $285. They will be looking for this like crazy – easy money for police department.
